Update 12-14-21
Hello Kinderton Single Family Neighbors,

Just prior to Thanksgiving, a contractor for RISE Sports completed grading the road bed for the emergency access entrance. As noted in our last update, the road portion of the easement will not be paved, but left as hard packed gravel.

This week, RISE Sports and the Town of Bermuda Run provided updates on upcoming tasks.

  • In the coming days, a contractor will begin placing evergreen plantings along both sides of access connector.
  • Keys have been ordered for Smith grove Fire Department, so they may control access of the secure gate.
  • The temporary gate will remain for the interim, until the gate lock box has been installed.

With the road base adequately established, once the temporary gate is removed, fire department equipment and emergency vehicles can access the sports complex should the need arise.

We have begun discussing types of signage that will identify the easement as emergency access only, denoting traffic will not pass between the properties, nor be allowed to park on that connector.

Update 11-16-21
Hello Kinderton Single Family Neighbors,

Over the past three weeks, RISE Sports and the Town of Bermuda Run have been providing updates related to the emergency access connector off Kilbourne Dr. Specifically, the identified next steps to complete the ground work, landscaping, and secured gate that connects the easement between both properties.

Later this week, a contractor for the RISE facility will begin grading the road bed for the emergency access entrance. The grading activity will establish an adequate base meant to support utility trucks, fire department equipment, and emergency vehicles.

The road portion of the easement will not be paved, but left as hard packed gravel. With this easement being identified as emergency access only, vehicular traffic will not pass between the properties, nor be allowed to park on that connector.  Smith Grove Fire Department has been identified as the local authority having jurisdiction, who will control the locked gate and thereby emergency vehicle access.

The expressed goal of RISE Sports is to complete their portion of the road work and landscaping by the end of 2021.

In the coming weeks, our hope is to pass along the continued updates from RISE Sports as they move toward completing their portion of the project.

Thank you,
